Workers in Kwara State to Receive New Minimum Wage Soon, Assures Gov Abdulrazaq

During the 2024 May Day celebration in Ilorin, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State announced that a new minimum wage is on the horizon for workers in the state.

In a message to workers, he emphasized the state government’s commitment to mitigating the economic challenges stemming from the removal of the fuel subsidy, stating, “We will continue to adapt our strategies to the current circumstances, including the imminent implementation of a new minimum wage once all necessary processes are finalized.”

Recognizing the crucial role of workers in governance and the integral part they play in driving sustainable development initiatives, the governor expressed gratitude for their contributions to the state’s socioeconomic growth.
