Man Arrested for Abducting Four-Month-Old Baby in Ondo State

Nsem Godwin, shown in the photo above, was apprehended by the Ondo State police command for allegedly kidnapping a four-month-old baby in Okitipupa town, Okitipupa Local Government Area of the state.   Confirming the arrest to journalists, CSP Femi Joseph, the spokesperson for the state police command, stated that the suspect was captured by the Highway Saver Policemen of the command as he tried to flee with the baby.   Joseph revealed that the suspect had somehow gained access to the residence where the baby lived with his parents. The baby was playing in the compound with his older brother when the abductor took him. The Abia state police command has apprehended Darlington Olewumbu, a notorious kidnapping gang member who has been on the wanted list of the Intelligence Response Team, IRT of the Nigerian Police.   Confirming the arrest, the spokesperson of the Abia state police command, Ene Okon, disclosed that Olewumbu was captured by a team of detectives led by the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, Ndiegoro Division SP Alphonsus Ayang, at Agu Street, Ndiegoro community.   Among the items recovered from the suspect were a locally-made revolver pistol with live ammunition, a locally-made double-barrel shotgun, and 6 live cartridges.
