Gunmen attack Catholic Seminary school in Kaduna, abducts 4 seminarians

The Catholic Seminary school in Kaduna was attacked by gunmen who abducted four seminarians. The incident occurred at the Catholic Good Shepherd Major Seminary, Kakau, along the Kaduna-Abuja road. The Registrar of the school, Rev. Fr. (Dr) Joel Usman, confirmed the abduction, stating that armed bandits stormed the school between 10.30pm and 11pm. "Good Shepherd Major Seminary was attacked by armed bandits between 10.30 and 11pm. After a headcount of students with security agents, four seminarians have been declared missing. Kindly say a prayer for their release," Usman said. The police have been informed, and investigations are underway. An image of the article can be seen below.

An incident of abducting four seminarians from the Catholic Good Shepherd Major Seminary in Kakau, along the Kaduna-Abuja Road, has been reported. The Registrar of the school, Rev. Fr. (Dr) Joel Usman, confirmed that armed bandits raided the school around 10.30-11pm and took the seminarians. The police have been informed, and an investigation is underway. EFCC Searches Shehu Sani’s Home in Abuja Over Alleged Fraud

Officials from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) carried out a search at the Abuja residence of former Senator Shehu Sani on December 8th. The raid, which took place at the apartment in Wuse, Abuja around 3:30pm, aimed to find evidence against the ex-Kaduna senator.   Last week, Sani was arrested by the anti-corruption agency for allegedly extorting $20,000 from Sani Daudu, the owner of ASD Motors. The former senator, who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial district from 2015 to 2019, reportedly accepted the money from Dauda with the promise of passing it on to Ibrahim Magu, the acting chairman of the EFCC.

Shehu Sani refuses lie detector test, vows to swear on Quran in $24,000 extortion scandal

On Saturday, a devastating gas explosion in the Sabon Tasha area of Kaduna Metropolis claimed the lives of six individuals, including Professor Simon P. At least 3 people have been reported dead in a tragic gas explosion that took place at the Sabon Tasha area in Kaduna state on Saturday, January 4th. The explosion occurred at a gas station located by the main road opposite the Total Filling station, at the always busy Sabon Tasha at approximately 1 pm.   The blast caused extensive damage to the victims' bodies. EFCC gets court order to detain Shehu Sani for 14 days

The court authorizes the EFCC to detain Shehu Sani for 14 days The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has obtained a court order to detain Shehu Sani, the former Senator representing Kaduna Central, for a period of 14 days.   Sani was accused of extorting Sani Dauda, the owner of ASD Motors, by allegedly demanding $10,000 in November 2019. Additionally, he allegedly promised to pass the money on to EFCC Chairman, Ibrahim Magu. Sani was also accused of soliciting N4m to be given to the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Ibrahim Tanko, concerning a case he allegedly claimed would not progress further.   According to the anti-graft agency, the 14-day detention order against Shehu Sani will facilitate a thorough investigation into the case.
