EFCC Searches Shehu Sani’s Home in Abuja Over Alleged Fraud

Officials from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) carried out a search at the Abuja residence of former Senator Shehu Sani on December 8th. The raid, which took place at the apartment in Wuse, Abuja around 3:30pm, aimed to find evidence against the ex-Kaduna senator.

Last week, Sani was arrested by the anti-corruption agency for allegedly extorting $20,000 from Sani Daudu, the owner of ASD Motors. The former senator, who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial district from 2015 to 2019, reportedly accepted the money from Dauda with the promise of passing it on to Ibrahim Magu, the acting chairman of the EFCC.
