Russell Martin, the manager of Southampton, has praised Joe Aribo for his exceptional performances in the team’s recent matches.
Aribo, a Nigerian player, has been a starter in the last five Sky Bet Championship games for Southampton.
His contributions have been instrumental in Southampton’s pursuit of promotion to the Premier League.
Currently in fourth place on the table, Martin’s team is on a four-game unbeaten streak.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Martin commended Aribo, stating, “He has been outstanding. Despite not playing many minutes after returning from the AFCON, his performances have been excellent.”
Reflecting on Aribo’s recent form, Martin added, “It took him some time to readjust after the AFCON, where he had a great tournament with valuable experiences. However, he has gradually regained his form.”
Throughout the season, Aribo has scored three goals in 31 league appearances for Southampton.
