Reported by BBC on Thursday, a UK-based airline and airport review site, Skytrax, declared Cape Town International Airport in South Africa as the top African airport for 2024.
The rankings were unveiled during the 25th anniversary of the World Airport Awards held in Frankfurt, Germany.
Research spanned from August 2023 to March 2024, involving over 100 nationalities of customers, according to data from the airport review platform.
Following closely behind Cape Town International Airport was Durban King Shaka Airport, also situated in South Africa.
Securing the third spot was another South African airport – Johannesburg O. R. Tambo International Airport.
