Significant Arrest Made: Two Robbery Leaders Apprehended, with Two Cars Recovered in FCT

Two well-known robbery leaders, namely Ibrahim Haliru, a former convict hailing from Kano State, and Babangida Mohammed from Mararaba, Nasarawa State, were apprehended by the operatives of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command.

SP Josephine Adeh, the command’s spokesperson, announced the arrest in a statement released on Sunday, indicating that it took place on April 23. The individuals were captured in connection to a string of car thefts targeting unsuspecting residents in FCT and surrounding areas.

During the operation, about five vehicles and several charms were seized from the suspects as evidence. Adeh revealed that these wanted criminals were tracked down and apprehended with the assistance of digital reconstruction intelligence technology at a hotel in Nasarawa, where they were enjoying the profits of their illicit activities.

It is imperative for residents to prioritize safeguarding their possessions, as emphasized by CP Benneth C. Igweh, psc, mni, the Commissioner of Police in FCT. He reiterated his unequivocal dedication to ensuring the safety and security of the residents and their properties within the region.
