Shehu Sani accuses El-Rufai of insults and curses over Kaduna indebtedness

Thankful to the Almighty God for revealing the truth about the $350 million loan between him and the ex-governor of Kaduna, Nasiru El-Rufai, former Senator representing Kaduna North Central Senatorial Zone, Shehu Sani, shared that El-Rufai publicly insulted and cursed him.

Speaking to the press recently, Sani detailed his efforts to prevent the state from unnecessary indebtedness during El-Rufai’s tenure.

He expressed, “I have already communicated my concerns. I raised red flags during my time in office regarding Kaduna State’s loan uptake and took action to prevent it.

“Former Governor Nasiru El-Rufai opposed me on this, insulted me, and even cursed me. I confidently stated to him that time would eventually expose who genuinely cared for the people of Kaduna, between him and me.

“Today, with him out of power, his appointed officials are now criticizing his mishandling of funds and the loans they acquired.”

The current Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, lamented his struggle to pay workers’ salaries due to the $350 million debt burden, which was second only to Lagos State’s in Nigeria, inherited from his predecessor, El-Rufai.

Subsequently, the Kaduna State House of Assembly has launched a probe into the finances.

Sani urged for an independent investigation of the previous administration.
