The vice president of the Russian Security Council, Dmitri Medvedev, warned the citizens of the European Union this Friday that “the peaceful dream is over”, after the impact of a drone in Romania last morning.
This event, attributed to Moscow, has left two injured. Medvedev has warned Europe that “they already know who to ask” if they want to ask for explanations, in a reference to community leaders.
Despite this, he has not explicitly acknowledged the Russian authorship of this event through a publication he made on the social network
“Be attentive and don’t be surprised by anything,” the Russian vice president said before warning that “the peaceful dream is over,” and addressing the European population directly. “But you know who to ask why,” he concluded.
At the moment, it is the only Russian official who has commented on this incident, being the first time that there is evidence of injuries due to the impact of a drone participating in the Ukrainian war against a Member State of the European Union and a NATO partner.
From the Kremlin, its spokesman Dimitri Peskov announced this Friday that President Vladimir Putin will appear throughout the day to address, in principle, what happened in Romania.
