Rio Ferdinand, the former Manchester United defender, characterized Arsenal’s dominant 5-0 victory over Chelsea on Tuesday as a contest between “men against boys”.
At halftime, the score was 1-0 following a clever finish by Leandro Trossard.
Nevertheless, in the second half, the Gunners scored four more goals, with both Kai Havertz and Ben White netting braces.
On TNT Sports, Ferdinand stated that Chelsea were outplayed at the Emirates.
He remarked, “They [Chelsea] were outplayed in every aspect today. It was truly a dominance of experience over youth.”
“Despite their strong showings in recent weeks and this season, Chelsea fell short in this match,” Ferdinand added.
