In the latest Premier League clash that saw Chelsea dominate West Ham United with a 5-0 victory, legendary Tottenham Hotspur icon Glenn Hoddle couldn’t help but shower praise on Cole Palmer.
Palmer, who has seamlessly integrated into life at Stamford Bridge, scored his 21st league goal of the season just 15 minutes into the game.
The emerging playmaker has also been instrumental with nine crucial assists, showcasing his key role in enhancing Chelsea’s attacking strength.
During an interview with Premier League Productions, Hoddle expressed his admiration for Palmer’s significant impact on the field, stating, “He is truly a standout player.”
“Chelsea’s performance has been dominant, they have made it look effortless,” Hoddle added.
Analysing Palmer’s display, Hoddle pointed out his knack for capitalizing on defensive mistakes: “If you fail to mark this young talent (Palmer) properly, he will take advantage of it.
“Just observe the defending! Alvarez seems distracted by Marc Cucurella’s movement into midfield, neglecting to track Palmer as he should,” he further elaborated.
