During his transfer from Real Madrid to Manchester United, midfielder Casemiro has shared that Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti shed tears.
Manchester United reportedly paid €70.65 million in the summer of 2022 to secure Casemiro’s services.
The Brazilian has now spoken out about the emotional exchange that took place when he met with Ancelotti before his departure.
Recalling the moment, Casemiro mentioned, “After finalizing everything with Manchester United, I visited Ancelotti’s office… and that’s when he started crying.”
He continued, “Ancelotti said to me: ‘Case, I don’t know… I just want you to understand that I love you! I didn’t want you to go’.”
Sharing his inner thoughts, Casemiro revealed to Chiringuito, “That was the only instance where I hesitated about leaving Real Madrid.”
