Reaction of Peter Obi to the Passing of Rev. Sister/Principal of Bethlehem Girls College in Abule Ado Gas Explosion

Upon learning of the passing of Rev. Sr. Henrietta Alokha, Principal of Bethlehem Girls College, Abule Ado, Lagos, in the gas explosion that occurred yesterday, Peter Obi, former Vice Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), expressed his heartfelt condolences.

He emphasized that the late Reverend Sister courageously sacrificed her life to rescue her students during the tragic explosion.

Peter Obi also extended his thoughts and prayers to the injured individuals and families who may have lost their precious ones.

He conveyed his sentiments through a series of tweets:

At the critical moment, Rev. Sr. Henrietta Alokha, Principal of Bethlehem Girls College, Abule Ado, Lagos, fearlessly put her life on the line to save her students during the Sunday explosion in Lagos.

Tragically, she lost her life when the collapsing roof fell on her. May her soul and the souls of all those who perished in the tragedy rest in peace. Amen. -PO
