President Bola Tinubu has presented his second batch of ministerial nominees to the senate through his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, on Wednesday. Gbajabiamila, along with Senator Hassan Hadejia, delivered the list to the Red Chamber while the screening of Lateef Fagbemi, a nominee from Kwara State, was ongoing. This submission comes after the Senate had previously screened 25 nominees from the first list, with three more nominees yet to undergo the process. Last Thursday, Gbajabiamila had submitted the initial list with 28 nominees and expressed the intention to forward additional names. The exact number of nominees on the second list remains unknown until Senate President Godswill Akpabio discloses the details.
