‘PDP in Position to Recapture Ondo,’ Asserts Makinde

During a gathering with PDP leaders from the South-West region in Ibadan, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State confidently stated that the Peoples Democratic Party is poised to reclaim power in Ondo State from the ruling All Progressives Congress in the upcoming governorship election scheduled for November 2024.

In his remarks on Monday, Makinde emphasized the unity within the PDP rank and file, expressing optimism about the party’s ability to replace the current APC administration in Ondo State.

Notably, Ondo State is currently under the governance of the APC.

Makinde highlighted the solidarity within the PDP and hinted at a collaborative effort involving the PDP governorship candidate, Agboola Ajayi, and other stakeholders to bolster the party’s electoral prospects in the state.

He further underscored the unified support from PDP leaders and stakeholders across the South-West region for the PDP candidate in Ondo State.

In his words, “Our candidate, HE Agboola Ajayi, is present here. Our primary objective is to reconcile all factions within the PDP in Ondo State because a united front is the gateway to the Alagbaka Government House.”

“With a harmonized voice and approach, we are optimistic about the journey ahead. Our candidate is fully aligned with this process,” he added.

“Therefore, the public can anticipate a robust performance by the PDP in Ondo State come November, with the divine will on our side,” Makinde concluded.
