Defender Uwana Asuquo emerged as the winner of Enyimba’s Player of the Month award for April.
Securing 60 per cent of the votes from the club’s supporters, Asuquo outshone forward Joseph Atule and midfielder Chibuike Nwaiwu to claim the accolade.
Playing as a right-back, Asuquo played a pivotal role in the People’s Elephant’s triumphant streak with three victories in the month.
During Enyimba’s 5-0 victory over Kano Pillars in the matchday 28 clash in Aba, he contributed by delivering two crucial assists.
As Enyimba aims to defend the title they clinched last season, the team will be counting on Asuquo to sustain his stellar performance.
Currently, the defending champions are positioned in third place on the NPFL table with a total of 53 points.
