Sophia Williams, a prominent figure in Nollywood, has begun the new year in style with the presentation of a brand new Mercedes Benz as a gift.   Sharing a photo of her luxurious new car, Sophia expressed her gratitude, describing the gift as the perfect way to kick off the new year. A Nigerian Muslim lady, Folake Adebola, who resides in the US, took to Twitter to share her story of getting sent home from her job in Fort Worth, Dallas, for wearing a hijab.   Folake, who is 22 years old, revealed that she converted to Islam in August 2019 before she started working at Chicken Express restaurant in October 2019. She mentioned that the day she was sent home was the first time she wore the hijab to work.    She disclosed that she had informed her employer about being a Muslim before being employed. It has been reported that American R&B singer, Trey Songz, is facing a $10 million lawsuit for an alleged incident of sexual assault inside a Miami nightclub.   According to court documents, the lawsuit is based on claims of assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and negligent infliction of emotional distress, with the plaintiff seeking damages of more than $10 million.   Allegedly, on January 1, 2018, the lady claims that Trey invited her to a nightclub after spending New Year's Eve at P. According to the UK-based Pastor, such instrumentalists are thieves and also described them as Satan's cousins. Queen Elizabeth II and her heirs to the English throne, Prince Charles, Prince William, and Prince George are featured in a royal portrait to mark the new decade. The portrait, which was taken by Ranald Mackechnie in the Throne Room at Buckingham Palace on December 18, captures the 93-year-old monarch alongside the Prince of Wales, Duke of Cambridge, and six-year-old Prince George, all direct heirs to the throne. This royal photograph is only the second time that a portrait of Her Majesty and her three heirs has been released, with the first being issued in April 2016 to celebrate the Queen's 90th birthday.

The United States government has rejected the accusation that it carried out an airstrike resulting in the deaths of 6 high-ranking members of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), which is a coalition of Iran-supported militias. Multiple reports have claimed that the PMF members were traveling in a three-car convoy north of Baghdad when the airstrike took place.
