Harvey Weinstein Faces Charges of Sexual Assault and Rape in Los Angeles

Disgraced Hollywood film producer, Harvey Weinstein, has been charged in Los Angeles with raping one woman and sexually assaulting another in separate incidents over a two-day period in 2013.    Weinstein, aged 67, now faces new felony charges of forcible rape, forcible oral copulation, sexual penetration by use of force, and sexual battery by restraint, as stated by Los Angeles County District Attorney Jackie Lacey.   In a statement, Lacey said, "We believe the evidence will show that the defendant used his power and influence to gain access to his victims and then commit violent crimes against them."   The charges came shortly after Weinstein's court appearance in New York for the start of his criminal trial on similar charges in a separate case. Two children, aged 12 and 13, shot by angry driver after throwing snowballs at passing cars

Playing with a group of children on Saturday evening in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, two children, ages 12 and 13, were shot by an angry driver after they threw snowballs at passing cars, according to Milwaukee police.   As they were throwing snowballs at passing cars, one of the snowballs hit a white Toyota, prompting the driver to shoot at the children. The police found the 12-year-old girl and the 13-year-old boy minutes apart.   The girl sustained two gunshot wounds, while the boy was shot once. Both of their injuries were reported as non-life-threatening and they are receiving treatment at a local hospital, as confirmed by the police in a tweet.   Milwaukee police are currently searching for the suspect who shot the two children.
