The Ban on Friday Prayers in Katsina is Lifted by the State Government
Following a stakeholders meeting with religious leaders, traditional rulers, and security agencies, the Katsina State Government has decided to lift the ban on Friday prayers.
According to a statement released by Dr. Mustapha Inuwa, the Secretary to the State Government, Imams have been advised to keep their sermons short in order to dismiss their followers within a brief period.
It is expected that a similar meeting will be held with Christian leaders to discuss the lifting of the suspension of Sunday church services.
