The brother of Governor Bala Mohammed, Adamu Mohammed, has regained freedom after being kidnapped by unknown gunmen on March 25.
Adamu was taken from a local shop by the gunmen without any intervention.
Chief of Staff to the Bauchi governor, Ladan Salihu, verified the news, sharing a video of Mr. Mohammed reuniting with his family on Tuesday evening.
He expressed his relief in a message saying:
Gratitude to God. Bauchi’s representative, elder brother to Governor Bala Mohammed, has been released by kidnappers… moments ago in Bauchi. Hausa: May Allah protect us from harm. Alhamdulillah
