NSCDC Mobilizes 1,500 Personnel across Taraba State for Easter Security

For the Easter celebration, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Taraba State has deployed 1,500 personnel to uphold law and order.

The deployment was announced on Friday at the state command headquarters located in Jalingo, the capital city.

Commandant Adamu Salihu, during an interaction with journalists regarding the command’s readiness to prevent any disruptions of peace during the festivities, disclosed that all tactical units such as the Rapid Responds Squad, SWAT team, and Special Female Squad have been dispatched to address potential threats to security.

He emphasized the importance of citizens embracing the values of love and sacrifice embodied by the Easter period and urged vigilance regarding security matters.

Salihu highlighted the significance of reporting any suspicious individuals or activities to the nearest security agency promptly, stating, “The essence of Easter lies in love and sacrifice. We must prioritize love and make sacrifices to ensure our nation thrives in peace and prosperity.”

He further encouraged the people of Taraba State to celebrate Easter while remaining cautious about security issues and promptly reporting any suspicious incidents to authorized security personnel for swift action.
