NSCDC in Taraba Displays three Alleged Armed Robbers

Three individuals suspected of armed robbery were exhibited by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Taraba State Command.

The apprehended suspects, showcased on Friday at the NSCDC state command headquarters in Jalingo, were reportedly captured near the School of Nursing and Midwifery in Jalingo metropolis following information provided by concerned citizens.

Identified by the state Commandant, Adamu Salihu, the suspects were named as 30-year-old Mustapha Abubakar, 39-year-old Suleiman Bello, and 27-year-old Aliyu Abubakar.

The gang, believed to have been conducting criminal activities in the area between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m., utilizing weapons to rob inhabitants of their possessions, were nabbed by NSCDC operatives during the early hours of Wednesday.

The swift action of the NSCDC Jalingo Division subsequent to the tip-off, resulted in the arrest of three out of the four gang members.

The commandant disclosed that items recovered from the suspects include two television sets, 12 pieces of fabric, six Android phones, one iPhone, and one basic phone.

The suspects, according to the commandant, confessed to breaking into two different homes during the robbery.

He urged the public to uphold vigilance regarding security, especially considering the state’s recent two weeks of widespread power outage.

In emphasizing the necessity for state residents to be observant and provide authentic information to security personnel and promptly report any suspicious activities to ensure swift intervention.
