Nigerian Travellers Forced Out of Chinese Hotels Over Coronavirus Fears

Nigerian business travelers raised complaints about mistreatment in China, alleging they were evicted from their hotels due to concerns about spreading the Coronavirus to the Asian country.

 

While China has largely contained the Coronavirus, the global battle against the virus continues, stemming from its origin in Wuhan, China.

 

These Nigerian travelers shared a video online to illustrate the mistreatment they faced during their visit.

 

The video depicts Chinese police pursuing the Nigerian businessmen out of their hotel premises.

 

Amidst the confrontation, the Nigerian men explained to the Chinese police that Africans are accommodating to Chinese citizens, despite the virus originating from China. They expressed dismay at being penalized for it.

 

Another video captured the Nigerians stranded and wandering the streets after being denied access to alternative accommodation.

 

They asserted that upon arrival in China, they were subjected to a 14-day quarantine, and upon completion, they were expelled and prevented from securing alternative lodgings.

Having curbed the spread of Coronavirus in China, Nigerians who traveled to China claim they were treated like the plague and asked to leave so as not to bring the infection back to the Asian country. . . They added that they were driven from their lodge and are not allowed to check into any other hotels.
