Nigerian troops intercept weapons shipment being delivered to Boko Haram leader

The interception of a weapons shipment destined for Boko Haram leader Bakura by Nigerian troops has been reported. The Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) Sector 4 carried out the operation in Niger through a major intelligence effort, disclosed by the Phantom Eye Hub, a group focused on Lake Chad and North East Nigeria security. The seized weapons, including 6 AK-47 assault rifles, 11 magazines, and 50 rounds of ammunition, originated in Libya and were transported through an arms courier network. The successful operation prevented the influx of potentially deadly weaponry into the hands of terrorists and revealed a wider network of illicit arms trafficking.
