Former CAN Leader, Kadzai, Criticizes Arewa Youths for Demanding Akpabio’s Resignation

Engr. Daniel Kadzai, the National Youth Leader of the Congress of Northern Nigeria Christians, has urged the Arewa youths to provide evidence to back up their call for Senate President Godswill Akpabio’s resignation.

Kadzai expressed his frustration with the Arewa group’s outspokenness, questioning the basis for their consistent demands on national issues.

Yesterday, the Arewa Conglomerates group demanded the resignation of Senate President Akpabio, a move that Kadzai described as irresponsible.

As a former National President of the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN) and Chairman of the Interfaith Coalition Conference, Kadzai dismissed the call as a weak excuse lacking substance.

In a phone interview with NewsNow on Wednesday, Kadzai pointed out that the discomfort of the Arewa group stemmed from the appointment of President Bola Tinubu, a Southerner, as Nigeria’s President, the selection of a Southerner as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and the emergence of a Southern Senate President.

Kadzai attributed the country’s challenges to the previous administration, which he criticized for implementing misguided policies.

He called on the Arewa group to refrain from presuming ownership of Nigeria and to avoid supporting only Northern Muslim interests.
