Receiving death threats is the current reality for Nasboi, the well-known skit maker and singer, after he called out Wizkid for his remarks about Don Jazzy.
Nasboi had previously expressed disapproval of Wizkid’s actions when he appeared on the Bahd And Boujee Podcast and mocked Don Jazzy.
During an interview with Cool FM, the content creator disclosed the threats he has been facing following his public criticism.
He mentioned, “It seems like once you attain celebrity status, expressing your opinion becomes unacceptable. However, ordinary individuals on the streets are allowed to have their say. They can freely declare their preference for Wizkid over Davido, and that’s completely fine. Shouldn’t I, as a regular guy who happens to be a celebrity, also have that same right?
“The backlash I received was a result of my recent comments on the podcast. It all stemmed from a simple query: Did Wizkid offend Don Jazzy with his remarks? When asked directly, I answered yes. I believe that labeling him as an influencer was not appropriate in that context. If I were in Don Jazzy’s position, I would feel hurt. And now, just because of my opinion on WizKid, someone is threatening me in my DMs, saying I’ll meet the same fate as my brother.”
