Mourinho’s Decision to Stop Watching Chelsea Matches

Living just “two minutes” away from Stamford Bridge, former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has revealed why he no longer attends matches at the stadium.

Mourinho had successful stints with the Blues, securing multiple Premier League titles, FA Cup victories, and League Cup triumphs during his time at the club.

After leaving Chelsea in 2015, Mourinho has been linked with a potential return amid pressure on current manager Mauricio Pochettino.

However, Mourinho explained to A Bola his reason for avoiding Chelsea matches, stating, “In London, I live two minutes from Chelsea’s stadium. From my house, you can hear the goals and the chants. The day the stadium started singing my name, I decided to stop attending matches. I prefer going to other stadiums.”

He further added, “It only takes 20-30 minutes from my other house to reach Luz, Benfica’s stadium, where I attended a couple of games. Unfortunately, the constant speculations about my return as manager have made me uncomfortable, so I have chosen not to attend matches anymore.”
