Manchester United Legend Criticizes Bayern Star After Champions League Loss

In the wake of Bayern Munich’s defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-final second leg, Rio Ferdinand, the legendary Manchester United player, pointed fingers at Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane, suggesting that his teammates did not support him effectively.

During Kane’s presence on the field against Real Madrid, Bayern Munich seemed on course for the Champions League final.

However, Bayern Munich’s manager, Thomas Tuchel, made a critical decision to substitute the English international in the 85th minute, replacing him with Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting.

At that moment, Bayern was defending a slim one-goal advantage and were eyeing a trip to Wembley, with Kane being the driving force behind their charge.

Rio Ferdinand, in an interview with TNT Sports, mentioned, “He has fulfilled his responsibilities by scoring the crucial goals. He was recruited to enhance their trophy collection, and I believe that his teammates failed to support him adequately. This defeat may weigh heavy on his mind tonight.”

Kane has been in blistering form, netting 44 goals in 44 appearances across all competitions.
