Appearing before an Iyaganku Magistrate’s Court in Ibadan, a 35-year-old individual named Samuel Oyetayo was arraigned by the Police for purportedly forging the Oyo Government hackney permit and ticket.
Oyetayo, whose residence details were not disclosed, is facing a charge related to the forgery of the Oyo Government hackney permit.
Despite the accusation, he entered a plea of not guilty.
Informing the court, the prosecutor, Insp Toyin Ibrahim, stated that the defendant allegedly committed the offense in the vicinity of Dugbe in Ibadan on May 1.
According to Ibrahim, the defendant illicitly fabricated the Oyo Government hackney permit and ticket without authorization from the government on the specified date and location.
The act was cited as a violation of Section 467 of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
Magistrate Mrs. Kausarat Ayofe granted the defendant bail in the amount of N50,000, with two sureties required to provide a similar sum.
The case has been scheduled for a hearing on June 24, as reported by NAN.
