In Ekiti State, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has apprehended a man identified as Afolabi Ojo, also known as Afo, from Olujoda Street, Ado-Ekiti, for reportedly raping a four-year-old girl.
The suspect’s arrest came after the girl’s mother lodged a formal complaint at the NSCDC office in Ado-Ekiti.
According to reports, the four-year-old girl alleged that Afo had sexually assaulted her by removing her underwear and engaging in sexual activity with her at the end of last month.
Speaking to the press, the girl’s mother confirmed that her daughter had disclosed the incident to her.
On the other hand, the suspect has refuted all accusations, claiming he has been falsely accused.
Meanwhile, the NSCDC’s Public Relations Officer, Tolu Afolabi, mentioned that a medical examination has verified that the girl has experienced hymen breakage, further stating that investigations are currently underway.
