Kwara United’s Poor Form Leaves Dogo Displeased

Kabiru Dogo, the technical adviser of Kwara United, is expressing concern over his team’s inability to perform well at home this season.

In a rescheduled Nigeria Premier Football League matchday 23 fixture on Thursday, the Ilorin club played to a frustrating 0-0 draw against Rivers United.

Despite their dominance in the game, the Harmony Boys were unable to score, hitting the woodwork four times – a recurring theme in their home matches this season.

So far in the league, Kwara United has suffered one loss and recorded six draws at home.

Reflecting on the match against Rivers United, Dogo expressed his disappointment in only getting a point. “It’s a game where we put in a lot of effort and strategized to secure three points, given our performance on the road,” he shared with reporters post-game.

He added, “Those familiar with the team know that we have been making significant progress, but achieving desired results at home has been a challenge – that’s just how football goes.”

Accepting the outcome gracefully, Dogo remarked, “Rivers United were fortunate to leave with a draw.”

“I see improvement in the team every day. While we have been successful on the road, replicating that success at home has been elusive. We remain optimistic and continue to strive for victories on our home turf,” Dogo emphasized.
