Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board Addresses Claims of UTME Score Irregularities

Reports circulating online suggesting that a lady received a UTME score without actually taking the exam have been dismissed by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

An individual named Gozie had expressed concerns on Facebook regarding an alleged incident where a candidate who missed the examination due to technical issues at her test center mysteriously received exam scores.

JAMB, through its spokesperson Fabian Benjamin, released a statement refuting the claims, stating that the information is false and intended to tarnish the credibility of the Board.

The Board advised the public to ignore such baseless reports and cautioned against spreading misinformation.

In response to these allegations, JAMB mentioned that some individuals resort to dishonest practices by manipulating and sharing results of other candidates as if they were their own in an attempt to deceive the public.

JAMB encouraged anyone with evidence supporting such claims to come forward with verified details and the associated phone numbers used to receive these results. The Board emphasized its commitment to safeguarding the integrity of its procedures and preventing any compromise.

The Board reassured the public that its results and processes remain secure and have not been tampered with. JAMB vowed to enhance the scrutiny of result verification to uphold accuracy and authenticity while thwarting efforts to create confusion.

JAMB reiterated its dedication to combatting misinformation and maintaining the trustworthiness of its systems in light of false accusations aimed at destabilizing its operations.
