T Y Danjuma Criticizes Nigeria’s Security Situation

General Theophilus Y. Danjuma, a former Chief of Defense Staff, has expressed concern over the security challenges in Nigeria, stating that they have tarnished the country’s reputation globally.

Addressing attendees at the annual Nwonyo Fishing and Cultural Festival in Ibi Local Government Area of Taraba State on Friday, Danjuma called on Nigerian authorities to urgently address the security issues plaguing the nation to restore its credibility.

He emphasized that ensuring the safety of citizens and visitors is crucial for attracting investments and promoting tourism in the country.

Highlighting the pervasive security threats across Nigeria, Danjuma stressed the importance of making the country a safe environment for everyone.

He expressed dismay that the current state of insecurity has diminished Nigeria’s standing in the eyes of the international community.

Danjuma urged collective efforts to tackle the challenges and improve the country’s image on the global stage.

In his remarks at the event, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State pledged to enhance cooperation between his administration and the Taraba State Government.
