Harry Kane Shares Bellingham’s Pre-Penalty Words in UCL Clash against Real Madrid

Tottenham Hotspur forward, Harry Kane, has disclosed the message Jude Bellingham relayed to him prior to his penalty kick during the UEFA Champions League semi-final first leg match that ended in a 2-2 draw against Real Madrid on Tuesday.

The match at Allianz Arena saw goals from Kane, Leroy Sane, and Vinicius, as both teams settled for a draw.

Bellingham attempted to disrupt Kane in the moments leading up to the penalty kick.

Referee Clement Turpin had to intervene, pushing the Real Madrid midfielder away from his fellow England teammate.

In an interview with TNT Sports post-match, Kane shared Bellingham’s words with him.

The England skipper recalled: “At the time, I wasn’t aware of what he was saying. He mentioned to me later that he whispered, ‘I know you’ll shoot to the left,’ trying to alert the goalkeeper.”

Kane added, “During the game, I was unaware of his words. I knew he was there but I couldn’t make out what he said.

“I noticed the goalkeeper moving early, allowing me to convert the penalty. It was a satisfying moment for me.”
