Organization Urges Tinubu To Appoint Former Bauchi Governor, Yuguda, In His Cabinet

The Coordinator of a political advocacy group, Disciples of Jagaban (DOJ), Bauchi State Chapter, Alh Hussani Suleman, has appealed to President, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to consider nominating former Governor of Bauchi State, Malam Isa Yuguda, as a minister.

Suleman emphasized that out of the six names being discussed in Bauchi State, Isa Yuguda stands out due to his political influence and popularity, as well as the crucial role he played in the 2023 general elections to ensure Tinubu secured the necessary support in the state and other states of the North-East subregion.

Furthermore, Suleman expressed that as a former Minister of Transportation and Aviation, as well as a two-term governor, Yuguda possesses the qualities to be an advocate for the people of the state.

In his words, “The decision to select Isa by the Political Organization (DOJ) is due to the fact that during his tenure as Governor of the state, he positively impacted many citizens of Bauchi State.”

Additionally, Hussaini Suleiman stated, “The group firmly believes that he is the most suitable candidate, surpassing contenders such as Dr Musa Barbayo, Amb. Yusuf Maitama Tugga, and Bala Jibrin, among others.”

“We also want to assert that if President Tinubu desires the growth, maintenance, and sustainability of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Isa Yuguda is the right person for that task.”

“He is capable and qualified to achieve this, as he has been actively involved even without holding any political position since he left office in 2015,” he concluded, as stated in a press release by Aminu Mudi, Publicity Secretary of the DOJ.
