Funke Akindele has disclosed the rationale behind hosting a house party with her husband JJC Skillz to celebrate his 43rd birthday, despite appeals for social distancing during the Coronavirus pandemic.
Earlier reports from LIB detailed that the birthday gathering occurred on Saturday, April 4, at the actress’ residence in Amen Estate. From videos circulated online, it was evident that singer Naira Marley and other friends attended the crowded birthday event.
In the wake of the controversy sparked by the birthday bash and the subsequent calls for the actress’ arrest, Funke Akindele has provided an explanation for hosting the birthday party. According to the actress, most of the individuals who attended the birthday party had been staying in Amen Estate before the lockdown order issued by President Buhari on March 29. Funke Akindele also stated that they are all safe and happy.
