Former US President Joe Biden’s health has worsened. This is what his son indicated in statements to the BBC: “The cancer has spread, it has metastasized to his bones and other parts. It is very painful and very debilitating.”
Biden, 83, announced last year after leaving the White House that he had been diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer. A mandate victim of criticism
During his term, between 2021 and 2025, Biden was the subject of constant questions due to his advanced age and his ability to hold office. Finally, he was forced to resign from his re-election campaign and hand over the baton to his then vice president, Kamala Harris, after his poor performance in a presidential debate against Republican Donald Trump, the current president.
Before leaving power, Biden granted a pardon to his son, convicted of illegal weapons possession and prosecuted for tax crimes, even though he had promised not to do so. In the interview, Hunter Biden was “grateful” for the pardon, although he acknowledges that it was not “a good thing” for his father’s legacy.
