Reports indicate that suspected herdsmen have fatally attacked Elder Francis Amamosa, a former chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ward 10 in Abavo, Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State.
The tragic incident took place on Amamosa’s farm near the railway line in Okpe quarters, Abavo.
Additionally, it was reported that the attackers abducted two other individuals from the scene.
Allegedly, the herdsmen ordered the deceased out of his farm with intentions to abduct him, and when he resisted, they resorted to violent means.
Despite initial gunfire, which did not harm him, the assailants used a machete to inflict fatal wounds on Amamosa.
Efforts to reach the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe for official confirmation have been unsuccessful as calls, SMS, and WhatsApp messages remain unanswered.
