Former Arsenal star, Theo Walcott, suggests ideal striker for Arsenal, compares him to Thierry Henry

Urgeing his former club, Arsenal, to consider signing Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins this summer, Theo Walcott drew comparisons between the England international and Arsenal’s legendary Thierry Henry.

With Mikel Arteta aiming to strengthen Arsenal’s attacking options, the club has been rumored to be in search of a new striker this summer.

Discussing Arsenal’s summer transfer plans, Walcott expressed to Premier League Productions: “When you assess their current goal-scoring record, it seems likely that they will look to secure a new striker, perhaps one who was showcasing his talent on the opposing team’s side during the last match.”

Confirming Watkins as the player he was referring to, Walcott added: “Yes, indeed. I believe he fits the profile of a player that Arsenal would be interested in. What truly impresses me about Ollie Watkins is his playing style, which may initially seem suited for a winger.”

“He evokes memories of Thierry Henry, and this comparison is one of the highest praises I can give him,” Walcott concluded.
