The latest official balance sheet this Saturday brings to 34 the Spaniards who died due to the double earthquake that shook northern Venezuela at the end of June, two more deaths than the last estimate on Friday, while the total number of missing persons has been reduced from 142 to 140 and there are still 11 Spaniards located who are buried under the rubble caused by the earthquakes.
Accompanying this new estimate, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation has stressed that “all the consular emergency lines are open, which can be consulted on the social networks of the Ministry and the Embassy in Caracas,” and has reiterated to Spaniards located in Venezuela to “use them.”
The latest general balance provided by the Venezuelan Government, published last night, reflects that 2,645 people have died due to the earthquakes, which have also left 12,666 injured and 15,050 people homeless.
