Zinedine Zidane, the former head coach of Real Madrid, is on the brink of taking over as the manager of Bayern Munich.
In a recent report by Mundo Deportivo, it has been revealed that most of the negotiations between Zidane and Bayern Munich have been successfully concluded.
The report further mentions that the Frenchman has already held discussions with the German Bundesliga club regarding potential reinforcements, particularly in the defensive department.
Initially, Bayern had set their sights on Julian Nagelsmann to succeed the current manager, Thomas Tuchel, who is set to depart the club during the upcoming summer transfer window.
However, Nagelsmann recently decided to extend his contract with the Germany national team, paving the way for Zidane’s potential appointment.
Having been previously linked with managerial positions at Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United, Zidane has been without a coaching role since his departure from Real Madrid in 2021.
