Exciting News: Unizik Welcomes a New Registrar

The management team at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, has officially introduced Mr. Samuel Nnaemeka Ufoh as the newly appointed Acting Registrar of the institution.

In an announcement issued by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Charles Esimone, the media received confirmation of this appointment on Monday.

Prof Esimone’s letter stated: “Due to the absence of the Governing Council of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka and my authority as the Vice-Chancellor, I hereby designate you as the Acting Registrar of the University effective from Monday, 8th April 2024.

“Your role will be upheld until the appointment of a permanent Registrar, unless unforeseen circumstances require a change. I trust that your performance will validate the confidence placed in this appointment.”

Ufoh steps into the position previously held by Barr Philomena Okoye, who retired on Sunday, April 7, 2024.

Prior to this role, Ufoh served as the Deputy Registrar 1 overseeing the Personnel Unit at the Registry. Ufoh also serves as a pastor at the Foursquare Gospel Church and comes from Nri in Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State.
