Recommendation by El-Rufai to Tinubu: Replace Non-Performing Appointees

Malam Nasir El-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna State, has advised President Bola Tinubu to consider replacing any of his appointees who have failed to meet expectations.

Speaking to journalists in Maiduguri on Monday, El-Rufai suggested that the president should also review and potentially revise policies that are not delivering the desired outcomes.

Expressing his viewpoint, El-Rufai emphasized the importance of addressing underperformance by stating, “If someone you have appointed is not fulfilling their responsibilities, it is crucial to have the humility to acknowledge the need for a more competent individual in that role.”

Furthermore, El-Rufai urged for the understanding and support of the public in assisting the government to bring about positive changes.

Encouraging citizens to pray for their leaders, he remarked, “It is vital for us to seek divine guidance for our leaders, prompting them to make the right decisions and have the willingness to correct their course when necessary for the betterment of society.”
