Death of Jigawa lawmaker, Isa Dogonyaro


A sad news strikes as Hon Isa Dogonyaro, the representative of Babura/Garki Federal Constituency in Jigawa State, has passed away after a short illness.

The confirmation came through a statement from the spokesperson of the House of Representatives, Hon Akin Rotimi, in Abuja.

The statement expressed, “With heavy hearts, we announce the demise of Hon. Isa Dogonyaro (Kogunan Ringim), the distinguished Member representing the Babura/Garki Federal Constituency of Jigawa State in the 10th Assembly of the House of Representatives. Hon.

“Dogonyaro departed after a brief illness.”

“Hon. Isa Dogonyaro was a devoted and enthusiastic legislator who diligently served his constituents and the nation.

“He played a crucial role in the House, making significant contributions to legislative development, especially in the sector of HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria Control, where he held the position of Deputy Chairman of the House Committee.

“As a member of the All Progressives Congress, Hon. Dogonyaro was recognized for his integrity, hard work, and unwavering commitment to the welfare of Nigerians.

“His absence will be deeply felt within the esteemed chambers of the House of Representatives.

Hon. Isa Dogonyaro was a patriotic figure who transcended tribal boundaries, exuding both joviality and intellect.

“He forged strong friendships with Honorable Members from across the nation. He is survived by spouses and children.
