Tragic events unfolded at Ballah junction in Eyenkorin, within the Asa Local Government Area of Kwara State, as different groups engaged in a violent clash resulting in multiple casualties.
An undisclosed source informed NewsNow about the ongoing conflict, stating that “individuals have been targeting each other since Monday night, and the violence has spilled over into Tuesday morning.”
Commissioner of Police, Victor Olaiya, expressed his response to the situation, confirming the deployment of mobile policemen and tactical units to the site of the turmoil.
“Mobile forces and tactical squads have been dispatched and are currently present at the location. We appreciate your cooperation,” he affirmed.
