Daughter of 2Baba, Isabella, Criticizes Portrayal of Parents on Reality TV Show

Isabella Idibia, the firstborn of the renowned Nigerian musician, 2Baba, and his partner, Annie Idibia, has expressed her disappointment with the way her parents were depicted in the 2022 South African reality show, ‘Young, Famous and African.’

The show portrayed Annie as a nagging wife who supposedly tolerates her troubled marriage despite 2Baba openly stating to other celebrities on the show, in the company of his wife, that “men are genetically predisposed to infidelity.”

Isabella recently shared a video message on her social media platform, expressing her disapproval of her parents’ portrayal in the reality program, deeming it as “inaccurate and inappropriate.”

She emphasized that the depiction of her parents on the show was misleading and did not accurately represent them.

She remarked, “I believe the representation of my parents on ‘Young, Famous and African’ was entirely misleading.

“Every time I tried to defend my parents, I was often met with remarks like, ‘How can you be sure? You are still young.’ Their opinions are solely based on what they see on social media.

“I have firsthand knowledge as I have lived with my parents. I cannot alter people’s perceptions on social media because they will always believe what they want to believe. However, they will never truly know the actual realities of my family or what occurred even before my time.”

“The portrayal of my parents on ‘Young, Famous and African’ was not accurate and far from ideal.”
