Court will hear 3 applications regarding Ganduje’s suspension on May 27

A date has been set by a High Court in Kano State to hear three applications related to the suspension of Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The court will consider applications concerning preliminary objection, jurisdiction, and joinder in the case.

During the proceedings, Haladu Gwanjo and Laminu Sani Borguma, represented by their counsel Ibrahim Sa’ad, informed the court about a motion they filed seeking an interim injunction on Ganduje’s suspension.

Previously, on April 17, the court issued an order for parties involved to maintain the status quo as of April 15, 2024, regarding Ganduje’s suspension by the Ganduje Ward executive committee.

At the hearing on Tuesday, Ibrahim Sa’ad requested more time to respond to the counter affidavit filed by the respondent, which was served in court.

MM Duru, representing the first, second, and third respondents, did not oppose the request for an extension of time made by Ibrahim Sa’ad.
