Condolences from Gov Mbah on the loss of Ayogu Eze: A Monumental Loss

Dr. Peter Mbah, the Governor of Enugu State, expressed profound sorrow at the passing of Senator Ayogu Eze, who represented Enugu State on the Board of the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation, and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) and was a former lawmaker for Enugu North Senatorial Zone.

Mbah found it challenging to accept the news, describing it as a significant loss for both the state of Enugu and Nigeria as a whole. He highlighted Senator Ayogu’s commendable service to the nation, from his roles in Enugu to his contributions at the national level in both the legislative and executive branches of government.

Issuing a statement on Friday, Mbah conveyed his condolences and pledged support to Ayogu’s family during this difficult time. He also prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.

“The news of the passing of Distinguished Senator Ayogu Eze, my brother, friend, and a prominent figure in our community, deeply saddens me. This loss is not just felt by Enugu State but by the entire nation,” said Mbah.

Senator Ayogu’s diverse roles as a media professional, entrepreneur, community leader, and public servant in Enugu State, including serving as a Commissioner and two-term senator, showcased his dedication to nation-building. His absence will be felt, especially when the nation requires experienced leaders like him.

During this period of mourning, we offer our support to the Ayogu Eze family and pray for their strength to cope with this painful loss. May Senator Ayogu Eze’s soul rest in peace,” Mbah added.
