Chelsea’s Next Manager: Jorge Mendes Recommends Replacement for Pochettino

Reports suggest that agent Jorge Mendes has proposed Sergio Conceicao, the current manager of Porto, as a potential successor to Mauricio Pochettino at Chelsea.

Chelsea recently announced the mutual departure of Pochettino after just one season, despite initially signing a two-year contract with the option for a third.

Mendes has put forward Conceicao’s name, even though the Portuguese manager is tied to Porto until 2028.

There are suggestions that Conceicao’s contract, agreed upon during former president Pinto da Costa’s tenure, could potentially be terminated, paving the way for a move to Chelsea without any compensation.

Conceicao, who has been managing Porto since 2017, boasts winning 10 trophies, making him one of the most successful managers in Portuguese football history.

Alongside Chelsea, Conceicao has also been linked with managerial positions at AC Milan and Marseille.
