Carragher Criticizes Manchester United Players for Behavior After 4-0 Loss to Palace

Following their 4-0 defeat to Crystal Palace, former Liverpool player Jamie Carragher strongly criticized the behavior of Manchester United players on the pitch.

The renowned defender suggested that the players should immediately head to the tunnel after such a humiliating performance rather than engaging in discussions on the field.

Carragher, who was providing his insights on Sky Sports as usual, singled out players like Mason Mount, Andre Onana, and Antony for what he perceived as embarrassing conduct during the game.

Instead of chattering on the pitch, Carragher insisted, “Just exit the field! You have been absolutely terrible.”

He added, “You’re probably gossiping about a fellow player, the tactics, or the manager. Just leave the pitch, remain silent, and go inside.”

“Losing 4-0… murmuring and discussing other players. Truly embarrassing,” Carragher remarked.

He also expressed disbelief at Manchester United’s performance, stating, “No United team should ever suffer a 4-0 loss to Palace. I would not even anticipate the United U23 team to lose by such a margin.”

Carragher, drawing from his playing experience, condemned the actions, saying, “I have never coached or managed, but as a player, I witness certain behaviors that are simply incorrect.”

The goals from Michael Olise (2), Jean-Philippe Mateta, and Tyrick Mitchell inflicted another demoralizing defeat on Erik ten Hag’s side.
